International Workshop on Modeling the Ocean

The IWMO focuses on all aspects of ocean and coupled air-wave-sea, ice and current-sediment modeling: processes, analysis and prediction.

Following the 16th International Workshop on Modeling the Ocean (IWMO-2026) in Palma, a special issue of peer reviewed publications in Ocean Dynamics (ODYN) is now open for submission (for details: https://link.springer.com/collections/fbfhcgceag ). Make sure to choose in your submission: "Topical Collection IWMO-2026". Deadline is December 30, 2026. Any paper within the focus of ODYN will be considered. Because of travel restrictions and budget cuts during this meeting, the special issue is open for all participants (in-person or virtual) as well as for all those who attended past IWMO meetings. Guest editors for this issue are: Alejandro Orfila Förster PhD, Tsubasa Kodaira PhD, Juan-Manuel Sayol PhD, Xiao Hua Wang PhD and Fanghua Xu PhD.
