2nd International Workshop on Modeling the Ocean 2010

The 2nd International Workshop on Modeling the Ocean (IWMO) takes place in Norfolk, VA, USA, May 24-26, 2010.

The 2nd IWMO meeting was held at Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk, Virginia. Norfolk is located on the Chesapeake Bay near the Atlantic coast and is home to the world’s largest naval base, an international seaport and various centers for maritime and marine sciences.

The workshop seeks presentations on all aspects of ocean modeling, analysis and prediction, with emphasis on interdisciplinary coastal-regional studies as well as new model developments (note: the IWMO evolved from the POM users group meetings, but is open to the ocean modeling community at large).

Support and facilities are provided by the Center for Coastal Physical Oceanography (CCPO), Department of Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (OEAS) and Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC)
